This story floated around our facebook page several times recently so it was finally time to share it with everyone on the website.
I can barely finish a half marathon in running shoes and shorts- let alone even thinking about wearing boots-
The added weight of the turn out gear just takes it to another level.

Congratulations to Perkins firefighter Brian Hackenburg for attempting to break the half marathon record while dealing with 27 degree weather and wind coming off Lake Erie!
